Our Cosmetology program runs for 1500 hours and is study of the artistic and scientific principles of Cosmetology using advanced Pivot Point techniques.

The Cosmetology program runs for 50 weeks on the following schedule:
First 350 Hours Schedule:

Monday - Friday: 8:30am to 2:45pm

Saturday: Off
351-1500 Hours Schedule:
-
Tuesday-Friday: 8:30am- 2:30pm

Saturday: 8:30am to 4pm

Cosmetology Program Overview
Cosmetology includes shampooing, cutting, styling, chemical waving, and color applications. Skin care services including makeup applications, facial massage techniques, eyebrow waxing, and other hair removal services are included. In addition, manicure and pedicure procedures are featured as part of the curriculum.
Students are also taught essential employability skills and are prepared for the Michigan State Licensing examination.

A professional in this field should have a strong sense of form and artistry, get along well with people, and be willing to follow customers’ instructions while staying aware of their preferences.
They should also have patience, an even temper, and the ability to tolerate long periods of standing, as well as ensure they are not allergic to the chemicals used in their work.

Most states require Cosmetologists to have a license. In Michigan, applicants for state licensure must complete 1500 clock hours of training and pass both a written and a practical exam.
