Advance Esthetics Program Overview

The program covers the theory of anatomy and physiology of the human body, with a focus on the study of the skin, including analysis of skin types, conditions, and disorders. Students learn maintenance and corrective facial treatments, cleansing and exfoliation techniques, the use of alpha hydroxy acids, and facial massage techniques.

Instruction also includes makeup artistry, hair removal, and the proper use of esthetics tools such as lighted mirrors, steam machines, saunas, spas, and rinsing apparatus. In addition, students gain product knowledge and application skills, basic chemistry related to product ingredients and composition, and an understanding of cleansing agents, lotions, wraps, and oils.

The curriculum also covers nutrition, microbiology, sanitation, sales techniques, salon business practices, and effective communication skills.
