Meet Nancy
Name:
Nancy Radwan
Program at MCB/Monroe:
Cosmetology
Graduation Date:
May 2009
People who know me describe
me as: Outgoing, customer-service-oriented and reliable
What were you doing
before MCB/Monroe? Administrative Assistant for 10 years. I went to school for Art History, however.
Best thing about MCB/Monroe? MCB’s Pivot Point curriculum, the style of MCB and its instructors have prepared me for success in two ways: success in obtaining my cosmetology license and success in my career. I’m a third of the way through and I already have skills I’m very proud of. I wanted a school that had the Pivot Point curriculum.
The instructors at MCB/Monroe
are….: Really great. They all put a lot of pride and positive energy into what they do. They also strive for excellence in their teaching and encourage students to work on their skills every day.
Where do you see yourself
in 3 years?
Working in a salon, styling and sculpting hair and confidently performing color and highlight services.
Advice for any person thinking
about a career as a salon professional?
If you are creative and enjoy people this is a career for you. Every day is different, and you add value to people’s lives by pampering them and helping them look their best. I’m already meeting great people and feeling like I’m expressing myself artistically.
